The symbolism of the dragonfly varies across cultures. Based on the following meanings associated with dragonflies, it was chosen to be the logo for Ikigai Counseling and Consulting, PLLC:
~ Dragonflies often represent transformation and change. The transformation and change symbolizes personal growth, adaptation, and embracing the change and adapt. Similar to the process of personal growth in therapy, where individuals explore their "nymph-like" past, confront challenges, and emerge with new insights, coping mechanisms, and a transformed way of being in the world.
~ It is said that the 4 wings of the dragonfly helps them stabilize as it flies. Symbolizing with support, one can weather through any challenge life may bring.
As I was searching for a logo to best fit my views of counseling and the meaning of ikigai, I found that the dragonfly embodies the very essence of what, in my opinion, therapy aims to achieve ~ to support clients to gain lasting transformation that allows individuals to live more fully, authentically, and adapt as one soars to new heights in their personal journey.

Trauma Therapy
Trauma therapy is a specialized form of psychotherapy focused on helping youprocess and heal from the emotional, psychological, and physiological impact of traumatic experiences. In sessions, our licensed clinician will help you understand how trauma has affected your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, and to develop healthy coping skills. Sessions are held in a safe and supportive environment.
